Cross lever limit switch AlphaX with ATEX approval

The AlphaX explosion-proof cross lever limit switch is designed to control the movement of overhead cranes, bridge cranes, other lifting equipment and complex industrial machinery used in hazardous areas.

An explosive atmosphere is a mixture of air and gases, vapours, fumes or combustible powders in which combustion spreads rapidly after ignition at atmospheric pressure (explosion). The cross lever limit switch works as an auxiliary current switch via a contactor or the PLC in conjunction with the control system of the plant.

The housing offers space for 2 or 4 slow action switches. The contacts are supplied as 1NO+1NC (1 NC and 1 NO) potential-free contacts. All NC contacts are positive opening contacts for safety functions. The cover is fixed with captive screws.
